The Yarra Valley Railway chiefly services the north-eastern region of the Yarra Ranges. Presently, the railway is widely used by visitors to travel between Healesville to Tunnel Hill, crossing the Watts River, under the Donovan’s Road overbridge and through the historic tunnel at Tarrawarra Winery.

This tourist railway was first introduced in 2010 and was a local initiative to reconstruct the former railway transport system in Healesville and its neighbourhoods. The project also includes several reconstruction plans for both the Lilydale and Yarra Glen Railway systems.

Visitors to the towns of Healesville and Lilydale are encouraged to take the scenic railway and explore the nearby attractions. While on your tour, enjoy the gorgeous views of the scenic mountainous landscape and vineyards.
