Yarra Junction Reserve

Yarra Junction Reserve is an excellent recreational facility in Yarra Junction, a quaint town aptly named because it sits at the junction of two rivers.

The reserve is home to a playground, skate park and is right next to the Yarra Centre Sports and Aquatic Centre. Many residents come to the reserve for fun in the outdoors with their kids.

At the reserve, there is a fully fenced playground where kids can run and play. Within the playground are climbing apparatus, fireman’s pole, chain ladders, scrambling walls, steering wheel, walkway, cubby, fireman’s pole, abacus and small wave slide. There are also four swings, see-saw, monkey bars and two flying foxes.

The playground at Yarra Junction reserve also features a speak-and-listen system that the kids can toy with as they get to socialize. The reserve has been designed with both the children and parents in mind. As kids run and play, parents can relax at the pergola with shaded tables and seats. The BBQ facilities on the location are a convenient addition for those who would like to have a picnic.

Other facilities at the reserve include toilets and a water tap, although visitors are advised to carry their own drinking water.
