Yarra Junction’s major attractions are the wineries and vineyards. The town also holds markets on the second and fourth Sundays of every month at the Yarra Junction Football Oval. In addition, there is an array of small stores, general stores, boutiques and specialty shops found within the town.

Visitors to Yarra Junction should take a tour to the popular Yarra Burn Vineyard and Restaurant. This winery is one of the oldest and finest wine producers in this region. You will find wine varieties including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay here. This cellar door offers regular tours for visitors throughout the year.

Historic landmarks in Yarra Junction include the Powelltown Tramway, a museum showcasing many displays relevant to saw-milling. Yarra Junction also boasts a number of art galleries housing an excellent array of exhibits and displays. Yarra Junction is also known for its annual Orchid Festival held during October, which draws hundreds of visitors to Yarra Junction every year.
